We are planning to have “Join- in-Jamboree” (JIJ) programme for youths around the world. Our JIJ programme will aim not only at Scouts around the world but non-Scout youth as well, so that Scouts as well as youth who are not able to participate in the Jamboree can benefit from the programme we develop.
Scout Association of Japan (SAJ) has started a new project that is to build new friendships for Scouts through Scouting. Welcome The World Project (WTW) creates ties between Scouts in your country and local Scout groups in Japan.
They may communicate on the Internet or exchange letters, launch a project together, or visit each other.
Project contents of their WTW may vary, but we hope such new links between Scouts in our countries will foster a familial bond amongst our Scouts.
We will try to have a “Home Hospitality” programme before or after 23WSJ to help increase understanding of the Japanese way of life and culture, and cultivate mutual understanding.
We have received a number of questions regarding the 23rd World Scout Jamboree. We have compiled several frequently asked questions and answers.
